Evensong at Wickliffe

Followed by Wine & Cheese Reception

Saturday evening, 21 Oct 2017
4:30 PM – 7:00 PM

EVENSONG AT WICKLIFFE - What better way to spend a fall evening than at Wickliffe enjoying simplicity and the splendor of nature surrounding our beautiful old country church? Please join us on Saturday, October 21st for our 2nd annual 'Evensong at Wickliffe' service. This year, our service commemorates the Feast Day of James of Jerusalem (also known as James, the Brother of Jesus). This evening prayer service begins at 4:30 pm and Colin Greene will serve as Officiant and Rev. Fran will preach.

A twilight wine & cheese reception will follow the service outside under the evening sky. Feel free to bring hors d'oeuvre to share and join us for another enjoyable evening of music, fellowship, friendship and fun. Wickliffe Church is beautiful in the fall, and this service gives us the chance to experience its beauty more than just once per year!

Note:  *** Bundle up if it's chilly. ***

Wickliffe Church is an historic Episcopal brick church built in 1846 to replace an earlier stone church built between 1817 and 1819. The church has not been in active use since 1918, except for an annual homecoming service held in August and occasional special events.
