Alleluia! Christ is risen!
The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!
This is the The Day of Resurrection: Easter Sunday, when Jesus rose from the grave as atonement for our sin, giving us victory over death... with festival music, inspired preaching, sharing of the bread and the wine, and lots of flowers!!!.
Thanks be to God that the COVID numbers in Clarke County are declining and we can rise from our year-long stay in darkness and worship again in person.
Our LIVE service begins at 11am. Please come early for COVID check-in, wear your mask, and listen to some joyful prelude music before the service.
If you are still more comfortable keeping your distance, we understand.
You can still join us for online worship, via Zoom, using the following link:

The Collect of the Day:
Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord's resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Readings for this Sunday:
A Prayer for the Future of the Human Race: O God our heavenly Father, you have blessed us and given us dominion over all the earth: Increase our reverence before the mystery of life; and give us new insight into your purposes for the human race, and new wisdom and determination in making provision for its future in accordance with your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
