Summer Friday Movie Nights
Starting in July and running through August, join us on the 2nd and 4th Friday Nights at 7:00 p.m. to watch a movie at Good Shepherd in the Parish Hall, with the film, popcorn, snacks, and drinks provided. Bring a friend or two, enjoy our air conditioned parish hall, and have some fun.
Our first offering, on July 12th, was “Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confedrate Romp Through the Cotton Patch”.
Our next movie is on July 26th. Following up on Janet’s pilgrimage talk, we will be showing “The Way” with Martin Sheen.
An American father travels to France to retrieve the body of his estranged son, who died while attempting the pilgrimage to Spain's Santiago de Compostela. He resolves to take the journey himself, in an effort to understand both himself and his son.
The Washington Post calls this a “Funny, moving, hip and transcendent story about family, friends and the challenges we face while navigating this ever-changing and complicated world. You don’t choose a life, you live it.”.
