9th Sunday after Pentecost: Sunday of the Transfiguration

This Sunday falls exactly on the Feast of The Transfiguration, something that only happens once every 7 years (or so, I'm guessing). Moses returns from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments; Peter, James, and John witness Jesus' transfiguration on the mountain, where Elijah and Moses join him, and Peter recounts this story in our reading from his second letter.
