This is the week of our Lord’s passion. The week he gave himself over to suffering and death to atone for our sins. Through his sacrifice, we are saved. Come, be with Jesus together with us, this holy week. It is the week that changed the world. How might it change you?
Lent 2019 Newsletter
Friday, March 1, 2019
March begins with an Epiphany visit from our bishop on March 3rd and then we gather to begin our Lenten pilgrimage with the Imposition of Ashes on Ash Wednesday, March 6th, at 7:00 p.m. We’ll continue our journey together using Rite I for our worship settings on Sunday mornings and we’ll congregate for eating, learning, and praying collectively at our Wednesday evening “Dinner & a Movie” at 6:30 p.m. Finally, we’ll culminate the month with a healing service on March 31st.
Good Shepherd Discernment Report
Wednesday, February 27, 2019
Good Shepherd is seeking a part-time, dedicated clergy leader to provide steady, consistent leadership—someone to help set the tone for our parish, to help us tune our melodies of welcome and outreach, and to provide the personality that will welcome visitors to explore and return to our little, historic country church. This discernment report is intended to provide details of who we are and what we do for interested clergy.
Epiphany 2019 Newsletter
Friday, February 1, 2019
Epiphany is the season when we celebrate Jesus as the Light of the World. Please join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. as we gather to hear the word, pray, and sing. On two Sundays we’ll be discussing our future together and how we can share Christ’s light in our community. Finally, we’ll finish Epiphany with a visit from our bishop on March 3rd and then gather to begin our Lenten pilgrimage with the Imposition of Ashes on Ash Wednesday, March 6th, at 7:00 p.m.
